Premium Themes Club

We are very excited to announce the launch of Premium Themes Club, our joint venture with Bhavesh Radadiya at CSS Ace. Bhavesh, also the owner of PremiumThemes.net, contacted us some time ago to see if we could work together on a premium themes site and slowly the idea of a club came together. We felt that there are so many individual premium themes out there right now based on individual pricing, that what really would be of value to users would be the ability to get the best of both worlds- access to unique, quality WordPress themes that are a step up from the mass of free ones, with reliable ongoing support and upgrades, while at the same time making it affordable for users to have access to a multiple amount of themes (and growing…) via an yearly subscription fee. One can see how the market has shifted towards this direction recently, for example with the model behind Brian Gardner‘s Studio Press– but with Premium Themes Club we feel we are taking this service to a new, all-encompassing level and creating a win-win for blog publishers like no other site.

The launch was announced at the site’s blog:

We are proud to announce the launch of Premium Themes Club, which we think is an exciting concept in sharing premium WordPress blog designs.

You don’t have to spend money each time you want to try out a new theme. But rather, by being part of the Club, you get access to a wide array of expertly-crafted WordPress themes for your blog. You can download and re-download to your heart’s content. There’s no limit to what you can do with Club themes, as these are lightweight but powerful designs that can be adapted to any need, whether it’s a blog, online magazine, or even a corporate website.

Not only that, Premium Themes Club is all about community. By being a part of the Club, you become part of a prestigious group of WordPress users who know what good design is all about!

And for those who also want to earn money from the system, we have an affiliate program, which lets you earn a share from every sale, whether it’s a club membership or an individual theme.

So why wait? we already have more than 30 themes online, and the list is growing.

Over at Performancing, J. Angelo Racoma announced the launch with an additional incentive of a free membership:

As part of the launch, PTC is offering Performancing readers the chance to get free Club memberships (worth $150 per year). Simply answer this question on your own blog:

What Makes a Good WordPress Theme? Why?

It’s up to you what you want to answer. Is it browser compatibility? Is it being lightweight? Is it stand-out graphics? Is it the sidebar layout? Typeface? It’s up to you. Just be sure to answer why, as that would help the folks at the Club develop better themes.

We’ll then give the first 10 good answers free Club memberships. By “good” I mean something with substance, and at least an explanation why that particular aspect of a WordPress theme is the most important one.

The only catch is that you’ll need to post your answer on your own blog (do remember to link to premiumthemesclub.com), and then leave a comment on this particular post. It’s up to you how you want to write your answer, and what title to use, of course.

Folks connected with Splashpress and CSSAce are, of course, ineligible. As are Hive members already given free access.

The Premium Themes Club already has about 30+ premium themes available for download (these are also available for individual purchase). Aside from club membership, the club also offers an opportunity to earn a 40% referral commission through the affiliate program, an open forum for helping users, a “tips & resources” section, a feature tour, an FAQ and the site is currently offering a free theme for download: Newsweek.
